Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 June 2026
This policy explains what personal data Idmon collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).
1.Who we are
Idmon ("we", "us") is a prediction-market intelligence service operated by Joshua Brown, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal data processed through the Idmon website and API. Contact: [email protected] · Idmon, Unit 164155, Courier Point, 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole BH16 6FH, United Kingdom.
2.What we collect
- Account & contact details — your name and email address, when you request access, subscribe, or contact us.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited billing details (such as your name, email, and country); we do not see or store your full card number.
- API usage data — your API key, and request logs including endpoints called, timestamps, IP address, and rate-limit counters. For webhook delivery we store the destination URL you provide and a log of delivery attempts.
- Communications — the content of emails and messages you send us.
3.Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To provide the service, manage your account, and take payment — performance of our contract with you.
- To secure the service, enforce rate limits, prevent abuse, and improve the product — our legitimate interests in running a reliable, safe service.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce legal effects, and we do not sell it.
4.Who we share it with
We share data only with the processors needed to run the service:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and security.
These providers act on our instructions under their own data-protection terms. We may also disclose data where required by law. We never sell your data or share it for third-party advertising.
5.International transfers
Some of our processors (including Stripe and Cloudflare) may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards — such as a UK adequacy decision, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6.How long we keep it
- Account and contact details: for as long as your subscription is active, and a reasonable period afterwards.
- Request and webhook-delivery logs: for a limited operational period (webhook delivery logs are pruned after about 30 days).
- Payment and invoice records: for as long as required by UK tax law (generally six years).
7.Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we'll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
8.Cookies & analytics
The Idmon website is static and sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We load fonts from Google Fonts, which may log the request to serve them. Stripe's hosted checkout pages set their own cookies under Stripe's privacy policy.
9.Security
We use HTTPS for all traffic, restrict access to the systems that hold your data, and follow good practices to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will notify you and the relevant authority of a breach where the law requires.
10.Children
Idmon is a business service intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
11.Changes & contact
We may update this policy as the service evolves; material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date. Questions or requests: [email protected].
